This large shawl is nothing less than a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, design by the talented Ruth Sørensen. Ruth is an experienced, Danish knitting designer who is very talented at designing Fair Isle knitting and mixing colors.
We have been allowed to sell 3 of Ruth's very popular designs for the beautiful shawls 'Forget me not', 'Flowers of Scotland' and 'Blood Beech' and we are very proud of that.
Ruth has put together 2 color profiles with 3 different colors for the shawl with a floral pattern in our No 20 yarn in 100% Shetland wool. She has also put together 2 other color profiles for Forget me shawl with 10 different colors, you can see them here.
With this design, you get a shawl that will be a wardrobe favorite for many years to come.
The kit contains: 600 gr Önling No 20 yarn in 3 different colors and a digital pattern in English.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. Önling No 20 is made from 100% Shetland wool, produced in Scotland, and it runs approx 247 yards (225meters) / 50g.

The upper edge of the shawl measures 235 cm / approx 92.52 inches
Height is 130 cm / approx 51.18 inches

3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle-multiple lengths (Start with 40 cm / 15 inches and end up with 120 or 150 cm / 47 or 59 inches)

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
