Front piece (width): 47 (47) 62 (62) 77 cm / 18.5 (18.5) 24.4 (24.4) 30.3 inches
Materials:
250 (300) 400 (450) 550 g Önling No 14. The yarn is made from 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell with a yardage of aprox 114 m / 127 yrds per 50 gr
Needles:
Circular needles 3 mm / US 3 (60, 80 cm / 23, 31 inches)
Gauge:
In stockinette using 1 strand on ndl 3 mm / US 3: 25 sts / 30 rows per 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches
Pattern in 11 sts is 3,5 cm / 1.4 inches wide
- you might need to change to a smaller needle in order to keep the gauge of 25 sts
Procedure:
Cast on for beginning of the top and work texture knitting in the round. Back piece stitches are placed on hold while the front piece is worked flat in texture until it is divided into two front pieces. Each front piece is worked with decreases on each side working texture.
Each front piece ends with a wide strap which is then again divided into two more straps to create the cross on the back. Each strap is worked together with the back piece. It is possible to make the straps without the cross on the back.
The summer top is assembly free.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.

Washing instructions for your knitwearWool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect. Often it is enough to hang your woolen sweater / garment outside in the humid weather or bring it with you into the bathroom, when you take a long, hot shower - the steam will often be enough to freshen it up it and remove any unwanted odors.
Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Everyday Kit
Neither Önling No 12 nor No 13, is pre-washed when you receive it on cones. You get the best result if you soak your finished knitted garment in lukewarm water for approx. 2 hours. Then wash the garment as you would otherwise with washing detergent for wool, either by hand or on a wool program in your washing machine. Dry it by laying it flat.
Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Silk kit
As the Silk Kit from Önling contains 3 different qualities (linen, wool and silk), we recommend that you always wash your silk sweater / garment by hand, to avoid it changing shape or appearance during wash. The three qualities will react differently to water, temperatures, etc. Önling can not take responsibility for the result if you wash your silk sweater in the washing machine. Your garment made from the silk kit should NOT be spun or tumble dried. Instead, dry it by laying it flat.
