VesterbyCrea.No.16 is a short, cropped sweater worked in smock pattern with a V-neck. The model is worked top down with a pretty circular pattern all over. Here we work it in one strand of Önling No 1 for a warm and luxuriously soft result in merino wool and angora.

300(300)350(350)450(450) g Önling No 1, 75% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool and 25% Angora, 50 g = approximately 197 yards (180 meters)
Suggested needles:
Circular needles 3,5 mm / US 4 (40, 60 cm / 16, 23 inches) for neckline
Circular needles 4,5 mm / US 7 (60, 80 el 100 cm / 23, 31, 39 inches) for body and sleeves
Gauge:
In stockinette 4,5 mm / US 7: 20 sts / 25 rows per 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches
Smock pattern 4,5 mm / US 7: 24 m / 30 rows per 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches
Procedure:
First the upper back is worked. Shoulders are then worked by picking up stitches and working a diagonal edge in double knitting along the edge of the back. Then again from here stitches are picked up for the front pieces that are worked with increases to create the V-neck. Front and back are joined under the armhole and the body is worked in the round in smock pattern. Sleeve stitches are picked up along the arm openings and worked in the round in smock pattern and also finished with a short double knitted edge and italian bind off. This sweater is assembly-free.

- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
