Knitting kit for Hanstholm Sweater for Men by PetiteKnit
The Hanstholm Sweater is worked from the top down with raglan increases on the yoke. Short rows are worked after the neck rib edge to shape the neckline.
The knitting kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and a printed pattern, which you will receive physically with the yarn.

The Hanstholm Sweater is designed to have approx. 6-13 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 6-13 cm larger in circumference than your bust measurement.
The measurements for the finished garment are on the front page of the pattern.

This kit does not contain the original yarn used by PetiteKnit, but carefully selected yarn that matches the gauge:
230(230)230(230)230(230)345(345) g, Önling No 12, 55% wool and 45% cotton, 800 m = approx. 115 gr
80(80)80(80)80(80)80(80) g, Önling No 13, 95% first-cut lambswool and 5% Cashmere, 1600 m = approx. 80 g
Gauge:21 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 4 mm [US6] needles
Worked with one strand of each quality held together throughout.
Needles: Circular needles: 4 mm [US6] and 3.5 mm [US4] / 40 cm and 80 or 100 cm [16 and 32 or 40 inches]. Double-pointed needles: 4 mm [US6] and 3.5 mm [US4]

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
