About PetiteKnit

PetiteKnit is one of Denmark's leading knitwear designers - both in terms of popularity, number of published designs and number of followers on social media. PetiteKnit is known both in Denmark and abroad and publishes patterns in 9 different languages.

The woman behind PetiteKnit is called Mette Wendelboe Okkels, and she has designed a number of extremely popular and well-known design collections, such as the Sunday series, the Terrazzo series, the Ankers series, the Novice series and the Zipper series.

In addition, she has recently started developing knitting patterns for interior design, bags and accessories - a good example is the popular French Market Bag.

If you want to know even more about Mette, her background, her ambitions as a knitwear designer, etc., you can read an interview with her here.

PetiteKnit makes knitting easy

We are incredibly happy to be able to offer knitting kits for a whole range of the fantastic designs from PetiteKnit! The beautiful designs from PetiteKnit represent a simple, Nordic style that we absolutely love. PetiteKnit is created by Mette Wendelboe Okkels, who is one of the most popular knitwear designers in Denmark and Scandinavia today. In her patterns, Mette focuses on providing simple information that everyone can understand - whether you are a beginner or experienced knitter.

Simple patterns and inspiring designs are characteristic of PetiteKnit. Try e.g. "No Frills" Sweater from PetiteKnit, which - as the title suggests – is very descriptive and clearly and simply explains how to knit a basic sweater.

For beginners - patterns with video instructions

PetiteKnit's simple designs have without doubt been a contributing factor to the increasing popularity of knitting and inspired a wave of new knitters. It is therefore fantastic that PetiteKnit has developed a whole series of knit designs for beginners called the Novice series. To make even more designs accessible to new knitters, PetiteKnit has established a collaboration with Kimmie Munkholm who makes video guides for all techniques used in many of the knitting patterns by PetiteKnit. These videos are available at YouTube and on PetiteKnit's website the description of each design includes all the relevant videos, so they are readily available when you need them.

Popular series by PetiteKnit

PetiteKnit has created several designs with details so beautiful or a construction so elegant, that they just had to be used for several design variations. That has given us a whole series of variations over popular designs. We have put together collections with the most popular design series by PetiteKnit, to make it easy for you to find new variations of your favorite design.
