Knitting kit for Klint Classic sweater by Anne Ventzel in Önling No 1 yarn

The talented designer, Anne Ventzel, has left her clear mark on this beautiful sweater, with its deep raglan sleeves combined with a classic rib pattern. Klint Classic is a little, elegant sweater, with a characteristic raglan cut, and edges knitted in twisted rib. The sweater is knitted from top down.

In this kit we knit Klint in Önling's own No 1 yarn instead of the original yarn. Önling No 1 is a wonderful combination of 75% sustainable merino wool and 25% angora. See knitting sample of Klint in No 1 on picture number 5.

The knitting kit contains: Yarn for the chosen size and a digital pattern in English, German and Danish.

The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.

Knit with one thread throughout the work

Klint Classic has a short body. Extra yarn is required if you lengthen the body compared to the pattern.

Procedure:

Klint Classic is a small elegant sweater with characteristic raglan lines and edges worked in twisted rib. The sweater is worked from the top down. First the folded neck edge is worked and then the yoke, which is finished with short rows to lengthen the back. The work is divided for body and sleeve and new sts are cast on for the underarms. Body and sleeves are finished separately and worked in the round, and the edges are bound off using the Italian bind-off technique.

The raglans are close together in the smaller sizes and further apart in the larger sizes. This created a harmonious look to the design down along the yoke and continuing across the body.

Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING

In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:

- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.

- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.

- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
