Knitting kit for Ivalo socks in Önling No 18, sock yarn
Ivalo is a short feminine sock with an edge in lace pattern. The sock is worked with a gusset heel and fits really well. After the lace pattern edge the rest of the sock is worked in stockinette stitch. Wear these socks with sneakers to create your own personale style, where the rugged and the feminine come together. We have knitted the socks in our soft and durable Önling No 18, made from 75% non-superwash wool and 25% polyester (recycled PET plastic bottles).

Sizes: Small (EU 36-37 / US 5-6,5), Medium (EU 38-39 / US 7-8), Large (EU 40-42 / US 8,5-10,5)
Sizes can be adjusted by knitting according to the stitch count for size small if you have narrow feet and knit them to the desired length, and vice versa, knit according to the stitch count for size L if you have wide feet.
Materials: 50(75)75 g Önling No 18, 4-ply sock wool, 75% non-superwashed wool and 25% polyester from recycled PET bottles, 420 m pr 100g,
Recommended needles: You need double-pointed needles or a circular needle size 2,5 mm / US 1.5 in 6
The sizes can be adjusted by knitting according to the stitch count for size small if you have narrow feet and knit them to your desired length. Conversely, you can knit according to the stitch count for size L if you have wide feet.
Gauge: 32 sts x 47 r on needle 2,5 mm (US 1.5) = 10 x 10 cm
Procedure: Ivalo sock is knitted from the cuff with a turned over lace edge, down over the heel and the foot, ending with a rounded toe. The sock is knitted on a circular needle using the magic loop method, but you can certainly use double-pointed needles if you prefer. A sock with a gusset heel consists of the following sections: leg, heel flap, heel turn, gusset, foot, and toe.
Please note: The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.

In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
