Knitting kit for Sandwave top by VesterbyCrea in Önling No 14
SandWave top has a pretty wavy pattern and a fitted shape. The top is designed by VesterbyCrea, and is ideal for summer. It is worked from the top-down and is assembly-free.
Here we knit the top in 1 strand Önling No 14, an absolute fantastic choice for summer! The yarn has a slightly shiny surface and is very light, which results in an elegant and unique summer top.
Please note: The top shown in the pictures on this page is not worked in Önling No 14, but in another yarn combination with the same gauge.

Procedure: Sandwave top is worked in a wave pattern, from the top down. The back piece is worked in wave pattern in the beginning of the yoke. The front piece is created by working one shoulder at a time with a few increases and then joined with extra loop cast on stitches. The front piece is worked flat in wave pattern in the same way as back piece. The body is created by joining the front- and back pieces and then worked in the round in wave pattern. The body is finished by stretchy bind off. The sleeve edges are worked with an edge stitch as the back- and front pieces are worked. The neckline is created by picking up stitches along the neck opening and finished by binding off in horizontal stitches. The top is seamless.
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
