Knitting kit for Silk Sweater in Önling No 12, Everyday Yarn.
One of your absolute favourites is our Silk Sweater - a soft and light basic sweater. You can knit it in several versions - here we work it in Everyday Yarn No 12, in cotton and wool.
Small stars can be knitted at the increases, which gives a nice graphic expression. These can be omitted if a more pure and simple expression is desired. The sleeves are designed with 3⁄4 length, but the pattern also describes how to knit long sleeves if desired. The sweater is a bit oversize at the breast width section and has a light a-shape that can be omitted.
This yarn kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and color and a digital pattern.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.

Procedure
The sweater is worked in the round, from the top down. Stitches are cast on using the provisional crochet cast-on method; this allows the neckline to be adjusted at the end of the process. Short rows are worked across the shoulders and the neckline in the beginning to make the back of the neck higher. The yoke is worked with increases, made to look like small stars.
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
