Procedure:
The mittens are worked in the round, starting from the wrist and worked toward the fingers. They are knitted using the magic loop method, but can of course be knitted on double-pointed needles if preferred.
Begin with a ribbed cuff. Then continue following the chart across the hand, placing stitches for the thumb and knitting the thumb gusset.
After finishing the thumb gusset, the stitches for the thumb are placed on hold, while the rest of the mitten are worked following the chart up to the top of the mitten. Slip the thumb stitches onto a needle, pick up and knit additional stitches around the opening, and finish working the thumb.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
