Knitting kit for Edith summer top with stars in our Everyday yarn Önling No 12.

Edith is a beautiful summer design with small stars giving a pretty and graphic expression. Or if you prefer a pure and simple look, these can be omitted. The top is slightly oversize at the chest and has a light A shape. In this kit Edith is knitted in our light Önling No 12, wool and cotton blend.

Edith can also be knitted in our Everyday kit, adding cashmere and super soft lambswool to the Önling No 12.

Materials Everyday kit
230 g (2 cones) Önling No 12 Everyday Yarn, 55% wool and 45% cotton., 800 m pr. ca 115 g.

Knitted with one strand throughout the work.

Circular needleand double pointed needles size 3 and 3½ / US 2½ and 4
Crochet needle for casting on stitches
3 stitch markers
3 meters accompanying thread in a contrasting color

Gauge
22 sts and 36 rows in stockinette st on needle size 3½ / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

Directions:
The top is worked in the round, from the top down. Cast on stitches using a temporary crochet cast on, so the size of the neckline can be adjusted subsequently. Short rows are worked across the shoulder and back at the beginning to give a higher neckline. The yoke is worked with increases, made into small stars. These can be omitted. Hereafter the work is divided, and both the sleeves and the body are worked separately.

Washing directions
Our Önling No 12 yarn has not been pre-washed when you get the cones. You will get the best result by soaking the finished sweater in lukewarm water for approx. 2 hours and subsequently washing it gently using wool wash, either by hand or in your washing machine using its wool program. Dry it by laying it flat on a dry towel.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
