Knitting kit for 'Vest for Fanø' by Mie Lauritzen for Önling in No 20 + Silk mohair
'Vest for Fanø' (West of Fanø) is a tribute to Fanø Knitting Festival, which has just been held for the very last time. Önling would like to mark this milestone, and the vest 'Vest for Fanø' is one of our 3 contributions. It is our colleague, Mie, who has designed this vest based on a brief that read as follows: Make a design that pays homage to Fanø Knitting Festival and the many cozy moments we have had there. This is Mie's idea of a beautiful vest, to keep you warm in your seaside cottage. The color is inspired by the beautiful sunsets over the dunes on Fanø. The vest is knitted in our lovely, rustic Shetland wool; Önling No 20 by Hanne Falkenberg and our silk mohair Önling No 10. Both yarns are available in so many beautiful colors, so the combination possibilities are many.
The knitting kit contains: Yarn for the elected size as well as digital pattern
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. Work with 1 strand of No 20 and one strand of No 10 together throughout.
Recommended needles:
Circular needle nr. 5 and 3 1/2 in 80 cm
Stitch markers
Gauge:
18 sts and 26 rows in stockinette on needle no. 5= 10 x 10 cm.

In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
