Knitting kit for Air Vibe Cardigan by Knit your Vibe in silk mohair
Air Vibe Cardi is a delicate and airy cardigan with decorative textured knitting in a pretty eyelet pattern. It's knitted from the top down with raglan increases, texture knitting, and a V-neck. Here we work the cardigan in 2 strands of silk mohair held together for a light and airy mohair result.
Design by Camilla Vibe-Hastrup from Knit Your Vibe.

Gauge: 10 x 10 cm = 19 sts x 28 rows in the texture pattern on 4 mm needles AFTER washing and blocking. The texture will expand when washed, which it shy it is important that you wash and treat the gauge swatch as you would your cardi.
Recommended needles:
Circular needles 4 mm, 40 and 100 cm.
Circular needles 3 mm, 40, 80, and 100 cm for the rib edge on the body and button placket
Double pointed needles (dpns) 3 mm for the rib on the sleeves, unless you use the magic loop technique. Alternatively, use double pointed needles (size 6 and 9 mm) if you do not wish to use the Magic Loop method.
Procedure: The Air Vibe Cardi is worked top down. The texture is created using decreases, an eyelet pattern, and purl sts whilst a stockinette stripe is shaped between the raglan increases. The stockinette stripe continues along each side of the body and on the flipside of the sleeves. Upon finishing the yoke, the body and sleeves are parted and finished separately. The body and sleeves are continuously worked in the texture pattern, while all edges are finished off with twisted rib. To create a balloon effect on the sleeves, no decreases are worked before the rib edge. The finishing touch of the cardi is the button placket along the opening of the cardigan. It is double knitted and includes button holes.
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
