Knitting kit for Flowers of Scotland shawl by Ruth Sørensen
This large shawl, designed by the talented Ruth Sørensen, is nothing less than a piece of art! Ruth is an experienced, Danish knitting designer who is very talented at designing Fair Isle knitting and mixing colors.
We have been allowed to sell 2 of Ruth's very popular knitting patterns for the two beautiful shawls 'Flowers of Scotland' and 'Blood Beech' and we are very proud of that. Ruth has put together an amazing color profile for this colorful shawl with a pattern of thistle flowers. In this kit you get colors that are VERY CLOSE to the original shawl, but not exactly the same, as some colors have unfortunately been discontinued from the supplier's color range.
With this design, you get a shawl that will be a wardrobe favorite for many years to come.
The kit contains: 900 gr Önling No 20 yarn in the 9 different colors, that make up the shawl and a digital pattern.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.
Önling No 20 is made of 100% Shetland wool, produced in Scotland, and it runs approx 225m/50g.
Gauge: 25 sts on 10 cm on ndl 3-3,5 mm
Recommended circular needle: 3-3,5 mm
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
