Knitting kit for Frederikke sweater in Önling No 4 + silk mohair
The Frederikke sweater is a basic and timeless high-neck raglan sweater, that is easy to knit—even for slightly experienced knitters. It has a classic fit with approximately 5 cm / 2 inches of ease, a normal armhole height, and long sleeves. The length is slightly short but can easily be adjusted to suit your style. A simple, versatile sweater that you will love to have in your wardrobe!
Here we knit the sweater in 2 strands - 1 strand merino wool Önling No 4 and 1 strand silk mohair held together. This results in an exquisitely soft and fluffy sweater.
This kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and color and a digital pattern

Recommended needles:
Circular needles size 4 and 4.5 mm / US 6 and 7, 80 cm / 32 inches
Double pointed needles size 4 and 4.5 mm / US 6 and 7, unless using the magic loop method
8 stitch markers
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows in stockinette stitch on needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in
Procedure:
The sweater is worked top-down with raglan increases. First, a high neck is knitted, and markers are placed for the raglan stitches and BOR. Then, short rows are worked across the back, sleeves and all the way to the front on each side to create a better fit. The sweater is worked in the round to the armholes, where the work is divided into body and sleeves, which are then finished separately.
Please note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
