Yarn kit for December Bow by PetiteKnit in Önling No 4 + silk mohair (excl pattern)
December Bow is a lovely bow, knitted in garter stitch and with an I-cord edge. You have several possibilities with the bow, at is can be used as a decoration on the Christmas tree, or as a hair accessory if attached to a hair elastic or a hair clip.
We knit December Bow in a delightful combination of fine merino wool Önling No 4 held together with silk mohair. Resulting in a super cute and soft bow, with a beautifully defined stitch pattern.

Materials:
50 g Önling No 4, 100% fine organic merino wool, 50 g = app. 219 yards (200 meters), fingering weight: DK Worsted
Held together with
25 g Önling No 10, 70% mohair, 30% silk, 25 g = app. 230 yards (210 meters), fingering/lace weight
You work with 2 strands held together throughout.
Gauge: 22 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in garter stitch on a 3.5 mm [US4] needle
Needles:
Circular needles 3.5 mm [US4] / 60 cm [24 inches]
Circular needles 3 mm [US2½] / 60 cm [24 inches]
Procedure:
The December Bow is worked back and forth in one piece from tip to tip in garter stitch with i-cord edges. The work is folded into a bow and sewn together at the end following the diagram with instructions that can be found at the end of the pattern. A leather handle is attached to the back so the bow can be hung.
If you want to wear the December Bow in your hair instead, you can knit it on 3 mm [US2½] needles with thinner yarn, and sew a hair clip (6 cm [2¾ inches]) on the back of the bow at the end.

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
