We knit Gerda sweater in 2 strands Önling No 20 and 1 strand silk mohair held together resulting in a compact, fluffy and super warm sweater, with a beautifully defined stitch pattern.
If you love this sweater as much as we do, you can also knit the matching Gerda skirt in Önling No 20 and silk mohair for a complete matching outfit.

You work with 2 strands Önling No 20 and 1 strand Önling No 10 = 3 strands held together throughout
Recommended needles:
4 mm/US 6 Circular needle (40, 60 and 80 cm / 16, 23 and 32 inches)
3 mm/ US 4 Circular needle (40, 60 and 80 cm / 16, 23 and 32 inches)
Cable needle 4 mm (optional)
Gauge:
With a 4 mm/US 6 in pattern:
20 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches before blocking
19 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches after blocking
Due to the overall texture of the sweater, it is important to gauge properly.

- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
