Knitting kit for Cumulus top by PetiteKnit in Önling No 21
The Cumulus Top is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, four triangles are worked to shape front and back with a V-neck, which are then joined on the circular needle to form the body. The body is worked straight in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a folded hem. At the end, i-cord edges are worked along the top edges. These i-cord edges are continued into the straps, which are sewn together with Kitchener stitch at the shoulders.
Here we are knitting in our soft cotton / linen yarn Önling No 21, which gives you a light result, great for summer.
See the full Cumulus series by PetiteKnit here.
This yarn kit contains: Önling No 21 yarn for the selected size and a printed pattern, which you'll receive physically with your yarn. The pattern is NOT digital.
Size guide
Note that these measurements are only achieved if the correct gauge is kept.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ inches]. This means that the Cumulus Top is designed to have approx. 6 cm [2¼ inches] ofnegative ease(meaning the top should be 6 cm [2¼ inches] smaller than your bust circumference). Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 89 cm [35 inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S top has a bust circumference of 84 cm [33 inches] which in the given example would give you 5 cm [2 inches] of negative ease.
The model in the photos is wearing a size XS and has a bust circumference of 82 cm [32¼] and is 164 cm [approx. 5 feet 4 inches] tall. The top in the photo has 2 cm [¾ inch] of negative ease.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
