Yarn kit for Vesterhav shawl.
Inspired by the beautiful nature of the danish coastline Vesterhavet, we have designed a shawl and matching sweater - both named Vesterhavet. The beautiful button pattern decorates the entire shawl and is finished with a pretty Haapsalu lace edge, a traditional Estonian knitting technique.
This yarn kit contains: Önling No 1 and Önling No 10 silk mohair yarn and a pattern.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. Materials:
250 g Önling No 1, 75% Superfine Wool Super 100´s, 25% Selected Angora, 180 m pr. 50 g
125 g Silk mohair Önling No 10, 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, 25 g = 210 meter.
The entire shawl is worked with one strand of each yarn held together.
Recommended circular needlesize 6 / US 10.
Gauge: 15 sts og 20 rows in button pattern on needle size 6 / US 10 = 10x10 cm / 2.5x2.5 inches.

In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
