Knitting kit for Silk Sweater in our Everyday kit, Önling No 12 and No 13
The Silk Sweater is an Önling classic, and one of your absolute favorites - a soft and light basic sweater. The sweater is a bit oversize at the breast width section and has a light a-shape that can be omitted. Small stars can be knitted at the increases, which gives a nice graphic expression. These can be omitted if a more pure and simple expression is desired. The sleeves are designed with ¾ length, but the pattern also describes how to knit long sleeves if desired.
Önling’s Everyday kit, in Önling No 12 and Önling No 13, is a light and summerly combination, perfect for tops, T-shirts, and light sweaters. Our Everyday yarn Önling No 12, is a light mix of wool and cotton. Önling No 13 is our companion yarn in cashmere and super soft first-cut lambswool. Knitted together the two strands make up a fantastic combination, as Önling No 13 gives Önling No 12 a softer look, better texture, and firmer structure.
This kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and color and a digital pattern

Procedure
The sweater is worked in the round from the top down. A crocheted provisional cast-on is used so the neckline can be adjusted afterwards. Short rows are worked at the beginning to shape the shoulders and back of the neck to ensure a good fit. The yoke is worked with increases forming small stars, which can be omitted for a simpler look. The work is then divided into body and sleeves and finished separately
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state LOT number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
