Knitting kit for Rosir, Icelandic sweater, No 1 kit
Katrine loves old English roses, and when her daughter was born in 2000, she lived with her family in a house with over 100 different types of roses. The daughter was named Rose and this sweater is designed with Rose in mind. The sweater has an Icelandic-inspired design, which is why it has been named Rosir (meaning roses in Icelandic).
The pattern is a reinterpretation of roses and purl stitches in the pattern create an interesting three-dimensional structure.
The sweater is designed to be slightly oversized, with approx. 5 cm positive ease, so there is room for several layers underneath when you venture outside. It is worked in the round from top to bottom.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLINGIn 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
