Knitting kit for the beautiful Rikke Sweater No 2, which is a natural extension of the previous designs by Rikke Jönsson, but with its own unique expression. Rikke Sweater No 2 has an oversized look and the beautiful rib pattern that characterizes the Rikke series adorns the shoulders in the most elegant way. The rib pattern continues down the sleeves, creating a beautiful and harmonious design.
Here we knit Rikke Sweater No 2 in two strands held together - one strand Önling No 3, our heavy organic 100% merino wool, and one strand exquisite silk mohair. This results in a wonderfully thick and fluffy sweater.

The sweater is designed with an oversized fit with a positive ease of 5.9-9.8 inches (15-25 cm). If you prefer a more fitted sweater, we advice you to knit a smaller size. The model in the pictures measures 37.4 inches (95 cm) in bust circumference and is wearing size L, which results in a positive ease of 9.8 inches (25 cm).

Gauge: 16 sts x 26 rows in stockinette on needle 5 mm / US 8 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches
Procedure:
The sweater is first worked back and forth and then in the round, from the top down. You start by knitting the two shoulder panels separately. These are then joined, and short rows are worked across the back and front to ensure a good fit. The yoke is shaped with increases along the sleeves. After, the work is divided, and the sleeves and body are finished separately. The sleeves are worked in the round.

If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
