Knitting kit for November vest by PetiteKnit in Önling No 1
The November Vest is worked from the top down in brioche stitch. First, a section is worked in double knitting for the back of the neck, which will later be connected to the front edges. Then, stitches are picked up and knitted along one side of this section and the back yoke is worked from these stitches. After this, the right shoulder and left shoulder are worked. These three sections are joined at the underarms, and the body is worked back and forth in brioche stitch with front edges in double knitting. Stitches are picked up and knitted around the armholes and armhole edges are in double knitting are worked. The pockets are also worked in brioche stitch and sewn on at the end.
The November Vest is designed to have approx. 12-18 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 12-18 cm larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL are intended for a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm.
Before beginning your project, measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust (or your widest upper body part) to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 94 cm around your bust (or around the widest part on your upper body) you should knit a size M. A size M vest has a bust circumference of 112 cm which in the given example would give you 18 cm of positive ease.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect. Often it is enough to hang your woolen sweater / garment outside in the humid weather or bring it with you into the bathroom, when you take a long, hot shower - the steam will often be enough to freshen it up it and remove any unwanted odors.
Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Everyday Kit
Neither Önling No 12 nor No 13, is pre-washed when you receive it on cones. You get the best result if you soak your finished knitted garment in lukewarm water for approx. 2 hours. Then wash the garment as you would otherwise with washing detergent for wool, either by hand or on a wool program in your washing machine. Dry it by laying it flat.
Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Silk kit
As the Silk Kit from Önling contains 3 different qualities (linen, wool and silk), we recommend that you always wash your silk sweater / garment by hand, to avoid it changing shape or appearance during wash. The three qualities will react differently to water, temperatures, etc. Önling can not take responsibility for the result if you wash your silk sweater in the washing machine. Your garment made from the silk kit should NOT be spun or tumble dried. Instead, dry it by laying it flat.
We serve customers worldwide!
Unfortunately, regulation, distances and language barriers make this a complex task, so in order to best serve all our customers we have set up 3 different web shops targeted to different countries.
Önling is based in Denmark, part of the European Union, so the main distinction is that we have to charge Danish VAT of 25% when selling to countries within the EU. Customers from countries outside of the European Union can purchase our products without paying VAT. Customers within the EU should therefore visit our EU store, whereas customers outside the EU should visit our international INT store. Both these stores are in English, so in addition to this we have a web shop in Danish for our Danish customers (who also pay VAT).
