Knitting kit for Iris Summer Top in our Everyday kit, Önling No 12 and No 13.
Iris summer top is a soft and light top with a simple and elegant lace pattern. This top will be a summer favorite, as it goes well with both weekdays and parties, office and beach. Iris summer top is knitted from the top down, so it can be adjusted as you knit to ensure a perfect fit.
Önling’s Everyday kit, in No 12 and No 13, is a light and summerly combination, perfect for tops, T-shirts, and light sweaters. Our Everyday Yarn, Önling No 12, is a light mix of wool and cotton. Önling No 13 is our new accompanying thread in cashmere and super soft first-cut lambswool. Knitted together the two threads make up a fantastic combination, as No 13 gives No 12 a softer look, better texture, and firmer structure. Read more about the yarn and view larger images here.

Procedure
The top is worked in the round from the top down. It begins with a crocheted provisional cast-on, allowing the neckline size to be adjusted later. Short rows are worked across the shoulders and back of the neck at the beginning to make the back higher than the front. The yoke is worked in the round with a leaf pattern. The piece is then divided, and the sleeves and body are finished separately
Please Note: The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state LOT number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
