Color A: 50(50)100 g / 1(1)2 balls Önling No 4, 100% fine organic merino wool, 50 g = app. 219 yards (200 meters), fingering weight: DK Worsted
Held together with
Color B: 25(25)50 g / 1(1)2 balls Önling No 10, 70% mohair, 30% silk, 25 g = app. 230 yards (210 meters), fingering/lace weight
You work with 2 strands held together throughout.
Gauge: 12 stitches and 44 rows in brioche stitch on size 5 mm (US 8) needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in
Procedure:
The hat is casted on using the Italian cast-on method, and worked in the round in brioche stitch until the top is finished with beautiful double decreases. The hat is knitted on a circular needle using the magic loop method, but you can certainly use double-pointed needles if you prefer.

The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
