Knitting kit for Ellie bandana scarf in Önling No 2
This scarf is an absolutely necessary part of your wardrobe when a bandana is too small, and the large, fluffy shawl is too large. This scarf is perfect indoors during the transition months and on top of your coat in winter. It is easy and quick to make – you can even make it in several colors and yarn qualities. It will also serve as a perfect gift for someone you love.
Here we knit Ellie in Önling No 2, which is our babysoft 100% Merino Superfine Super 100’s wool.
The kit contains: Önling No 2 and a digital knitting pattern
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.

Procedure: The scarf is worked back and forth on a circular needle, from the center back and outwards. It begins with a short length of I-cord at the back of the neck, which continues in small, fine cables along the edges and down through the center of the scarf, and ends with a cable-patterned edge. Increases are worked along the sides and the center cable on every second row. The cables are worked without the use of a cable needle.
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
