Knitting pattern for Easy Peasy Basic Sweater

Easy Peasy is Önling's new collection of knitted basics, in classic, Nordic design, with simple patterns written in a beginner-friendly language, without abbreviations. This is our version of a basic sweater with a circular yoke, knitted from the top down. The fit of the sweater is slightly ’oversize’, i.e. with a positive ease of approx. 5 cm / 2 inches. The design is a little bit cropped with normal armhole height and long sleeves. The sweater that you can vary as you please – with short sleeves, longer body, light yarn, thick yarn – with tips and details that let you adapt the sweater to the perfect fit and look for you. See the product images for inspiration and different possibilities.

The sweater is designed our bestseller yarn Önling No 1, merino wool and angora – sustainably produced and super soft. If this is your first knitting project, we have put together a beginners-box, with needles, stitch markers and yarn to get started on this sweater. It is also available in a knitting kit, where you get yarn and pattern. See both in related products below

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.

Find our instructions for how to wash your knitwear here.

Washing instructions for your knitwear
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect. Often it is enough to hang your woolen sweater / garment outside in the humid weather or bring it with you into the bathroom, when you take a long, hot shower - the steam will often be enough to freshen it up it and remove any unwanted odors.

Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Everyday Kit
Neither Önling No 12 nor No 13, is pre-washed when you receive it on cones. You get the best result if you soak your finished knitted garment in lukewarm water for approx. 2 hours. Then wash the garment as you would otherwise with washing detergent for wool, either by hand or on a wool program in your washing machine. Dry it by laying it flat.

Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Silk kit
As the Silk Kit from Önling contains 3 different qualities (linen, wool and silk), we recommend that you always wash your silk sweater / garment by hand, to avoid it changing shape or appearance during wash. The three qualities will react differently to water, temperatures, etc. Önling can not take responsibility for the result if you wash your silk
