Knitting kit for Easy Peasy sweater with Turtleneck in Önling No 3
Easy Peasy is Önling's collection of knitted basics, in classic, nordic design, with simple patterns written in a beginner-friendly language, without abbreviations.
This sweater is a classic, basic sweater with turtleneck and set-in sleeves, and is worked in the round from the bottom up. It is no 3 in the Easy Peasy collection and it introduces you to a few additional techniques than the previous Easy Peasy designs. It is a bit more advanced than the other two designs in the collection, but still written in easy-to-understand language and with lots of video references.
The sweater is designed to have a positive ease of approx. 5-10 cm / 2-4 inches, i.e. slightly oversize. It features a somewhat short body, normal-size armholes, long sleeves and cool rib details.
Here we knit it in our 100% organic yarn Önling No 3, a heavy and soft merino wool.
If this is one of your first knitting projects, we have put together a beginners-box, with needles, stitch markers, a project bag, and yarn to get started on this sweater. You even get 2 extra knitting patterns, for the Easy Peasy Basic sweater and the Easy Peasy raglan sweater.
The knitting kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and color and a digital knitting pattern.
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.

Worked with one strand throughout.
Recommended circular needles sizes 4 and 5 mm / US 6 and 8, 80 cm / 32 inches long.
Double-pointed needles sizes 4 and 5 mm / US 6 and 8, unless you prefer to use the Magic Loop method to work the sleeves.
1 stitch marker.
Gauge 18 stitches and 24 rows/rounds in stockinette on needle size 5 mm / US 8 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.
Procedure: The sweater is worked in the round from the bottom
up. The body is worked in stockinette to the armholes, and the stitches are then divided into front and back, which are finished separately. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up at the armholes, and the sleeves are worked, in the round, from the body towards the cuffs, to allow easy adjusting the sleeve length. Finally, the roll neck is worked.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
