Knitting kit for Rose bud shawl by Inge-Lis Holst and Katrine Hannibal in Önling No 18 + silk mohair
The Rose Bud Shawl is a large and soft shawl. Here we knit it in a soft combination of Önling No 18 (wool) + a strand of silk mohair.
The shawl is beautifully adorned with "stripes" of rose bud lace pattern and stockinette stitch. It's large enough to be styled in several ways - both as a scarf and a shawl. You can also purchase the knitting kit for Rose bud shawl in Önling No 1, which is the softest blend of Merino wool and Angora.

The shawl is worked from the center back of the neck with increases within the edge stitches and around the center stitch on every right side row down through the shawl until you reach the finishing edge. The shawl is knit in "stripes" of lace pattern and stockinette stitch framed by horizontal stitches and ends with a lace edge.
Stitch counts will be provided after each pattern change. The shawl starts with a garter tab cast on and is then worked back and forth. The lace patterns are described in both charts and text.
The shawl consists of 3 sections of rosebud lace and 3 sections of stockinette stitch, all framed by rows of horizontal stitches and ends with a lace edge
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
