Knitting kit for Rikke Scarf No 1 by Rikke Jönsson in Önling No 4
The talented Rikke Jönsson, who runs the gorgeous Instagram profile @handmade__by__rj, has come up with the design idea for the stunning Rikke collection, and this lovely and delicate scarf is a natural extension of both Rikke Summer Top and Rikke Sweater.
The scarf is knitted in a beautiful rib pattern with an integrated lace motif that characterizes the Rikke collection. The ribbing stretches considerably with washing and blocking. The scarf can be worked in one strand of Önling No 2, our exceptionally soft merino wool yarn, or Önling No 4, our 100% organic merino wool - both are perfectly soft for scarves.
Here we knit the scarf in one strand of Önling No 4, our soft and organic merino wool, so soft that it is perfect to wear directly on the skin.

100 g / 2 balls Önling No 4, 100% fine organic merino wool, 50 g = approx. 219 yards (200 meters), weight: fingering
Work with one strand throughout.
Recommended circular needles size 3,5 mm / US size 4
Gauge 25 sts and 31 rows in rib pattern on 3,5 mm / US size 4 needles = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in after washing and blocking
Procedure
The scarf is worked back and forth from tip to tip, with i-cord edges on both sides. Increases and decreases are worked on one side only of the scarf.

If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
