Sweater No. 17 is an oversize sweater with wide sleeves. The sweater has a unique shoulder construction, combining set in sleeves and raglan construction. This exact construction provides a great, comfortable fit.
The sweater is worked top down and requires minimal finishing.
We knit Sweater No 17 in Önling No 1 and silk mohair. This combination of yarn results in a classic striped sweater, with an extraordinary softness.

The yarn kit contains: Önling No 1 and silk mohair for the chosen size and color, no pattern.

Length (measured from the center back, below the rib): 60 (63) 65 (66) 69 (70) cm [23.5 (24.75) 25.5 (26) 27.25 (27.5) inches].
Finished circumference: 118 (124) 133 (138) 144 (153) cm [46.5 (48.75) 52.5 (54.25) 56.75 (60) inches].
Suggested needles:
5 mm [US 8] needles (80 or 100 cm [32 inches or 40 inches])
4 mm [US 6] needles (40 or 80 cm [16 inches or 32 inches])
Gauge:
In broken rib, using 5 mm [US 8] needles 18 sts / 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches].
In rib using 4 mm [US 6] needles 24-25 sts / 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Color A1: 250 (250) 250 (300) 300 (350) g Önling No 1, 75% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool and 25% Angora, 50 g = approximately 197 yards (180 meters).

- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
