We knit Balaclava No 1 in Önling No 2 and silk mohair, which combined results in an exquisite balance of elegance and warm.

The yarn kit contains: Önling No 2 and silk mohair for the chosen color, no pattern.

Suggested needles:
4 mm [US 6] circular needles (60 or 80 cm [24 or 32 inches])
2.5 mm [US 2] circular needles (40 cm [16 inches])
Gauge: In patterned rib using 4 mm [US 6] needles 21 sts / 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]
Materials:
50 g Önling No 2, 100% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool, 25 g = app. 131 yards (120 meters)
Held together with
25 g Önling No 10, 70 % mohair and 30 % silk, 25 g = approximately 230 yards (210 meters).
You work with 2 strands held together throughout

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
