'Vest for Fanø' (West of Fanø) is a tribute to Fanø Knitting Festival, which has just been held for the very last time. Önling would like to mark this milestone, and the vest 'Vest for Fanø' is one of our 3 contributions. It is our colleague, Mie, who has designed this vest based on a brief that read as follows: Make a design that pays homage to Fanø Knitting Festival and the many cozy moments we have had there. This is Mie's idea of a beautiful vest, to keep you warm in your seaside cottage. The vest is knitted in our lovely, rustic Shetland wool; Önling No 20 by Hanne Falkenberg and our silk mohair Önling No 10. Both yarns are available in so many beautiful colors, so the combination possibilities are many.

Procedure
The vest is worked from the bottom up in the round to the armhole and then divided into front and back, which are finished separately.
Please note: The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
