Knitting kit for Chestnut sweater by PetiteKnit in Önling No 20 + silk mohair
Chestnut Sweater is a beautiful and cozy sweater with a relaxed, oversize fit and a cozy turtleneck. It has wide ribbed edges on both sleeves and body and a slit in the side gives it an extra good fit.
Here we knit Chestnut sweater one thread of Önling no 20 (Shetland wool) and one thread of silk mohair held together. This is a different yarn combination than what Chestnut is designed in (and from the pictures shown on this page), but it gives a very similar expression to the original.
If you want a softer feel for your Chestnut sweater, we recommend our knitting kit in Önling No 1 in ultrasoft wool and angora.
The yarn kit contains: Önling No 20 and 10 for the elected size and a printed pattern, which you receive with your yarn..

Size Guide:
The Chestnut Sweater is designed to have approx. 30 cm [11¾ inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 30 cm [11¾ inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The fit is oversized. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 inches].
The measurements for the finished garment are on the front page of the pattern. Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 90 cm [35½ inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a bust circumference of 120 cm [47¼ inches] which in the given example would give you 30 cm [11¾ inches] of positive ease.

At the underarm, the front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round on the circular needles. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted along the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round down to the cuffs on a circular needle and double-pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. The large turtleneck collar is worked at the end from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the neck edge.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
