This is why we at Önling have designed a Christmas sweater, knitted in our soft and delicate yarn Önling No 2, which is wonderful to knit and to wear. Önling No 2 is made of 100 % merino wool, and sustainably produced according to organic standards.
The idea is to design a sweater so pretty that you would love to wear it, and yet with the option to create your own crazy christmas sweater.
One of our main challenges has been, that we did not have a beautiful christmas red yarn - but now we do! We now have a beautiful red and a beautiful green, perfect for creating beautiful and crazy christmas sweaters. But as you can see, the sweater is also beautiful and classic in e.g. grey and white.

Önling No 2, 100% Supersoft wool, 120 m per 25 g.
Color A: Önling No 2, dark gray (grigrio 03): (250)250(250)300(300)350(350) g.
Color B: Önling No 2, light gray (grigrio 01): 50 g.
Circular and double pointed needles size 3 and 3½ / US 2½ and 4.
Crochet hook for temporary, crocheted cast-on.
2 stitch markers.
3 meters accompanying thread in a contrasting color.
Gauge:
23 sts and 34 rows in stockinette st on needle size 3½ / US 4 = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.
Directions:
The sweater is worked in the round, from the top down. Cast on stitches using a temporary crocheted cast-on, so the size of the neckline can be adjusted subsequently. Short rows are worked across the shoulder and neck at the beginning to give a higher neckline. The yoke is worked with increases. Hereafter the work is divided, and both sleeves and body are worked separately.

In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
