Knitting kit for Sirid Faroese Sweater in Önling No 2
The Sirid design has a beautiful yoke with small geometric shapes in many colors. This version is made in striking, deep, Nordic colors that mirror the sea and the mountains.
The design is inspired by traditional, knitted Faroese sailor sweaters. The colors are gender neutral and will suit both women and men. The sweater is knitted in our deliciously soft and exquisite Önling No 2, 100% merino wool, that will keep you warm at all times.
This kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and color and a digital pattern
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an e-mail with a link to your pattern, and the pattern will be available here at the site via your personal account - so remember to create an account :-) Read more about digital knitting patterns here.

Procedure
The sweater is worked in the round from the top down. Start with a provisional, crochet cast-on to allow adjusting the size of the neckline before working the neck hem. The shoulders and back of the neck are shaped using short rows. The yoke is worked with increases and then divided into sleeves and body, which are finished separately.
Please note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated according to the number of keys the kit contains, which is the amount of yarn we have used to knit the model according to the specified measurements. If you need more yarn, it can be purchased at a regular yarn price by placing a new order and writing the lot / lot number in the comments field when paying. Yarn consumption for all models is both calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
