She lives to teach, design patterns and publish books.
I have knitted HØJ hat once to test some new yarn from Chile, and instead of making a normal swatch, I made this hat instead. I use hats often, actually every day all winter after my morning swim.
The hat is a really good starter/practice project for brioche stitch, and for making increases and decreases in brioche. It's an easy project, which is beautiful and useful. The hat is asymmetrical which gives it a different expression, depending on how you wear it. I can warmly recommend knitting HØJ hue.", says Katrine Hannibal

100 g Önling No 1, 75% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool and 25% Angora, 50 g = approximately 180m
Stitch markers
Gauge:
16 sts and 48 rows in brioche stitch on ndl p 4,5 mm = 10 x 10 cm
Worked with one strand throughout
Suggested needles:
4 mm/40 cm circl ndls
4,5 mm/40 cm circl and dp ndls

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
