Here is a lovely, light and soft bandana, which is easy and simple to knit.
Easy Peasy is Önling’s range of basic patterns for classic, Nordic designs, all written in a simple and beginner-friendly language – without abbreviations. All the techniques you need to know to knit this bandana is knit, rib and make increases.
Here we work the bandana in Önling No 2, which is a supersoft and airy 100% merino wool.

Measurements:
A: Length: approx. 160 cm / 63 inches
B: Height: approx. 50 cm / 19.5 inches
Materials: 125 g Önling No 2, 100% Merino Superfine Super 100’s wool, 120 m per 25 g.
The bandana is worked with one strand of yarn throughout.
Recommended Circular Needles:
Recommended circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 for shawl and size 4.0 mm / US 6 for edge.
3 stitch markers
Gauge: 23 stitches and 46 rows (23 ridges) of garter stitch on needle size 3.5 / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4x4 inches.
Procedure: The shawl is worked from the center back and outwards. You start by casting on 1 stitch, then knitting and working increases throughout the shawl.

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
