3,5 mm circular needle (40 and 100 cm) and potentially double pointed needles if not using Magic Loop.
Gauge:
20 sts x 30 rows on 4 mm needle = 10 x 10 cm.
Procedure:
The sweater is worked top down in one piece and is assembly free. First, stitches are cast on at the centre back, first working the left and then the right shoulder.
Then stitches are picked up along the front of the shoulders and along the back section. Continuing to work flat, with increases for sleeves and neckline. The work is joined by casting on stitches for the yoke in the round on a circular needle. Then the work is divided into body and sleeves which are worked one at a time ending with rib edges. To finish, stitches are picked up around the neckline and worked in rib, which is finished with a tubular bind off.
Please Note:
The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
