Knitting kit for Elvira Hat with cables in Önling No 1
We have designed this pretty hat with beautiful cable pattern and double rib edge, to can keep your ears warm. We have worked the hat in our premium merino wool and Angora blend ; Önling No 1, for a fluffy and luxurious result.
We have been inspired by the beautiful techniques of the Aran sweaters and have made 2 patterns with cable twists. One has a nice cable with several different sizes of cables, and the other is a 'fake twist', which is knitted without a needle. The hat can be knitted in many variants and is the perfect gift.

This kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and color and a digital pattern
The pattern is a PDF file. Immediately after purchase you will be able to download the pattern directly from the purchase confirmation page. Width: 25 cm / 9.75 inches
Length including folded rib edge: 29 cm / 11.5 inches
Materials Önling No 1
100 g / 2 balls Önling No 1, 75% merino wool, 25% angora, 50 g = approx. 197 yards (180 meters), weight: DK / Worsted
Worked with one strand throughout.
Recommended circular or double-pointed needles size 3½ and 4 mm / US 4 and 6
5 stitch markers
Gauge 24 sts and 30 rows of stockinette stitch on needle size 4 mm / US 6 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.
Procedure
The hat is worked in the round, from the bottom up, beginning with a rib edge and continued in the cable pattern from either chart or text. The hat is worked straight up and finished by decreasing at the top.

Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state lot number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.

In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
