Knitting kit for Holly sweater by Ruth Sørensen for Önling in No 20
This pattern is specially designed for Önling's advent calendar 2022 by the talented Ruth Sørensen. Ruth is the 'indoor world champion' in designing beautiful Fair Isle patterns. Holly is worked in Önling No 20, which after all comes from Shetland and is perfect for Fair Isle knitting. Holly is worked top down and has narrow Fair Isle stripes and is two-colored rib edges.
Holly sweater has a loose fit and you should choose a size that is 15-20 cm larger than your chest circumference. The sweater does not have a very over-sized look once it is knitted. It just looks better if it's not too tight.
This kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and a digital pattern

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a knitting kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In some cases, however, you will not receive a pattern as part of your order:
If you buy a Yarn kit, you will only receive yarn for the design in question. Yarn kits are only sold for selected designs from external designers, where we do not have the right to sell the pattern. When a kit is sold without pattern, you can always see it in the header, which will say (excl pattern) in the header.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- For a select, few designs from PetiteKnit, we will add a printed pattern to the parcel - but for most PetiteKnit designs, you will not receive a pattern, as they are mainly sold as yarn kits (excl pattern). In these cases you will always be able to see it in the header, where it says (excl pattern).
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
