Knitting kit for Wednesday Sweater by PetiteKnit in Önling No 1 og Önling No 10
The Wednesday Sweater is worked from the top down. First the back is worked back and forth, while the slant of the shoulders is shaped with short rows to create a good fit. After this, each shoulder is worked separately back and forth on the circular needles. The shoulders are then joined to from the front yoke. At the underarm, the front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round on the circular needles. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted along the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round down to the cuffs on a circular needle and double-pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. The large turtleneck collar is worked at the end from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the neck edge. The edges and collar are worked in twisted rib.
Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge.
The knitting kit contains:Yarn for the selected size and a printed pattern, which you'll receive physically with your yarn
Size Guide
The Wednesday Sweater is designed to have approx. 25 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 25 cm larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The fit is oversized. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm.
The measurements for the finished garment are on the front page of the pattern. Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S.
A size S sweater has a bust circumference of 115 cm which in the given example would give you 25 cm of positive ease.

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
