Knitting pattern for Wrap Me Up cardigan by Plummum.

Signe from PlumMum have designed this trendy wrap-cardigan, which we are very excited to knit for our summer wardrobe.

About the Cardigan Signe explains:"Who couldn't use a light and chic wrap cardigan for those cool summer evenings? A cardigan that is perfect for skirts, gauzy dresses or your high-waisted jeans? A cardigan that highlights the waist and your feminine features? Those were my thoughts when I designed the Wrap me up cardigan, which complements most of my existing wardrobe."

The wrap me up cardigan is a fluffy wrap cardigan in pure silk mohair. We made a yanrkit for it in our own Önling No 10, or Brushed Lace from Mohair by Canard, which gives a light but fluffy expression and at the same time you will have a finished result in no-time. Se the yarn kit in related products below.

The wrap me up cardigan is knitted top down with raglan increases and with a fine rib edge in the neck and on the cardigan's sides, which is knitted at the same time as the rest of the work. The cardigan is therefore almost without sewing together and you can try it on along the way during the knitting process, so you can continuously tailor it to your own measurements.

The cardigan has an edge piece at the bottom, which you can knit in 2 ways; with or without double increases to achieve either large or small volume. The edge is finished with an i-cord edge for an extra fine finish. The cardigan's sleeves, which are slightly puffed and stop just below the elbow joint, are also finished with an i-cord edge.

Washing instructions for your knitwear
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect. Often it is enough to hang your woolen sweater / garment outside in the humid weather or bring it with you into the bathroom, when you take a long, hot shower - the steam will often be enough to freshen it up it and remove any unwanted odors.

Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Everyday Kit
Neither Önling No 12 nor No 13, is pre-washed when you receive it on cones. You get the best result if you soak your finished knitted garment in lukewarm water for approx. 2 hours. Then wash the garment as you would otherwise with washing detergent for wool, either by hand or on a wool program in your washing machine. Dry it by laying it flat.

Specifically for knitwear knitted in Önling's Silk kit
As the Silk Kit from Önling contains 3 different qualities (linen, wool and silk), we recommend that you always wash your silk sweater / garment by hand, to avoid it changing shape or appearance during wash. The three qualities will react differently to water, temperatures, etc. Önling can not take responsibility for the result if you wash your silk sweater in the washing machine. Your garment made from the silk kit should NOT be spun or tumble dried. Instead, dry it by laying it flat.

We demand a lot from our yarn

We sell yarn under our own label - yarn that is produced in a family-run yarn mill in Italy. The yarn is produced according to organic standards and can be traced back to the individual sheep on the specific field, to ensure the welfare of the animals. All our yarn is off course mulesing-free.
