First, stitches are cast-on for the back of the neck. These stitches are then worked flat in waffle texture with rib on either side of the work, while increases are made at the same time to shape the top of the back section. Then, stitches are picked up along the shoulder edges. The front shoulders are worked flat then joined with a few newly cast-on sts in between. The front and back pieces are the joined and the body is worked in the round in waffle texture, with cables, and rib down the sides. Stitches for the sleeves are then picked up and worked in waffle texture in the round. The sleeves are shaped with decreases and the cuffs are worked in rib. To finish, stitches are picked up for the neckband which is worked in the round in rib and finished with a tubular bind-off.
ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING
In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.
In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:
- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.
- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
