Önling's Nordic Knitting Box – The basic version

At Önling we are truly inspired by the Nordic knitting tradition and in our latest knitting box, we are celebrating this tradition by launching 2 brand new designs inspired by the Faroe Islands and Iceland.   

This box is put together for the passionated knitter, who wants to receive everything in one convenient box: High-quality yarn for 1 project, 2 brand new patterns - both can be made from the yarn in the box, so you'll have to choose - and 3 lovely knitting gifts for you.

The basic version of the Nordic knitting box contains:

• 2 knitting patterns, that are released exclusively with this box. Gerdur" is a beautiful Icelandic sweater with a feminine floral-inspired pattern, purl stitch details that provides 3-dimensional effects and a slightly oversize design. "Gudrun" is a modern interpretation of a Faroese sweater. The classic design has been given a new twist, which together with the slightly boxy fit and deep armholes, gives the sweater a modern look. 
  
• 4 cones of Önling's own No 12 yarn; 3 to make up the base color of the sweater, 1 for the pattern. In addition, you get a ball of silk mohair, which is knitted together the pattern color of the yoke, to give the sweater an extra exclusive and soft look. The starting price is $ 98 and includes yarn for sizes XS-L, and if you want to knit a bigger size, the price of the box will increase accordingly. 
• Either pattern can be knitted with the yarn in the box, the only difficulty is choosing which model to knit. 
• 3 lovely knitting-related gifts (these can vary and are not necessarily the ones shown on the picture). The gifts are specifically selected selected for our knitting boxes and have a total value of minimum 30€

The patterns are in PDF format. Immediately upon payment, you can download your Nordic Box patterns directly from the purchase confirmation page. You will also receive an email with a link, from which you can download your patterns, and lastly they will be made available to you on your profile here on our webshop - so be sure to create a profile :)

Recommended circular and double-pointed needles 3½ or 4 and 4½. Needles are NOT included in this box. 

Gauge: 21 sts og 29 sts in stockinette st on needle size 4 ½ = 10 x 10 cm.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
