Yarn kit for Tanne Top by Anne Ventzel in Önling No 21 + 10 + 15
Tanne Top is a soft little top with short sleeves, which is worked from the top down.
The stranded pattern is worked from the right side only, so this design is a good project for a knitter without much experience with stranded knitting.
In this kit, we knit in Önling No 21 (linen/cotton) together with silk mohair, and stripes in No 15. The result is a top with a light, summery feel and pretty structure.

Gauge
21 sts x 21 rows in pattern on a 4.5 mm needle = 10 x 10 cm
21 sts x 27 rows in stockinette stitch on a 3.5 mm needle = 10 x 10 cm

Procedure: An Italian cast-on is worked at the neck edge, which is followed by a twisted rib edge and a circular yoke worked in a charted stranded pattern. Short rows are worked before the yoke is divided for body and sleeves to create roominess and a good fit. If you would like a slightly less advanced project, the Italian cast-on can be replaced by a regular long-tail cast-on.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
