Knitting kit for Friday Sweater for kids by PetiteKnit in Önling No 11

Friday sweater is a great classic sweater with a maritime twist - and now it is available for kids as well! The Friday Sweater Mini is worked from the top down in broken rib with raglan increases. The neck edge is worked in rib and folded. Cuffs and hem are also worked in rib.
Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge – as broken rib grows with wash.

Size guide
The Friday Sweater Mini is designed to have approx. 10-13 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 10-13 cm larger in circumference than chest measurement of the child. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the front page of the pattern. Before beginning your project, measure the child to determine which size will fit the best. For example, if the child’s chest measurement is 63 cm, you should knit size 5-6 years. A sweater size 5-6 year has a chest circumference of 74 cm which in the given example would give a sweater with 11 cm of positive ease.

The knitting kit contains: Yarn for the selected size and a physical, printed pattern

ABOUT PATTERNS FROM ÖNLING

In 95% of all kits from Önling, you get a digital pattern and yarn when you buy a kit. Read more about how to get hold of your digital knitting pattern here.

In very few cases, however, we provide a printed pattern rather than a digital one:

- When you buy a kit for ALL designs from PetiteKnit's, you will receive a printed, pattern together with your yarn, as we are unfortunately not allowed to sell Petite Knits' patterns digitally.

- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.

- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.

Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
