Lucia Slipover vest is designed for Önling's advent calendar 2022 by Katrine Hannibal. Lucia is a trendy slipover vest, which is perfect for a cold day. Lucia is worked in 2 strands of Önling No 15, which is our classic merino wool and we use the mouliné effect by mixing 2 different colors of yarn.

The vest is worked with 2 strands of No 15 throughout
Recommended needles:
Circular needles size 6 and 7 mm / US 10 and 10.75, 80 cm / 32 inches long
Stitch markers
2 meter/ 3 yards of scrap yarn.
Gauge: 17 sts and 20 rows/rounds of stockinette on needle size 7 mm / US 10.75 = 10x10 cm / 4x4 inches.
Procedure: The vest is worked in the round from the bottom up. First, a provisional crochet cast-on is made, and the vest is worked in the round to the armhole. Here the stitches are divided into front and back panels which are finished individually. At this point you can try on the vest and decide how long you want the rib hems before knitting them.

- When you buy a kit for a design from selected books (e.g. Helga Isager), you sometimes have to buy the book separately, in cases where the patterns are not released to be sold separately. It will always be clearly described in the product title, with for example "xx kit, excluding pattern", when the pattern is not included.
- All patterns from Isager are delivered as a printed pattern, as we do not have access to sell these digitally. You will receive your pattern along with your yarn shipment.
Wool can last for years, but it requires good care. Washing is tough on your woolen garments and in general wool needs to be washed much less than other materials as it has a self-cleaning effect.
